To use alternates and ligatures in your font (like Noradya), you need to activate OpenType features in your design software. Here's how to use them in popular programs:

✅ In Adobe Illustrator:
Type your text.

Select the text and open the Character panel (Window > Type > Character).

Click on the OpenType panel (Window > Type > OpenType).

Turn on:

Ligatures (for standard ligature pairs)

Contextual Alternates, Stylistic Alternates, or Stylistic Sets to access different glyph versions.

To access individual alternates:

Highlight a character → right-click → Alternate for Selection, or go to Glyphs panel (Window > Type > Glyphs).

✅ In Adobe Photoshop:
Type your text using the Text Tool (T).

Open the Character panel (Window > Character) and the OpenType panel (Window > OpenType).

Enable:

Ligatures

Alternates and Stylistic Sets

To manually access alternates:

Use the Glyphs panel via Window > Glyphs.

✅ In Adobe InDesign:
Use the Type Tool to enter text.

Open the Character panel and the OpenType panel (Window > Type & Tables > OpenType).

Enable:

Ligatures

Stylistic Alternates

Access specific glyphs using the Glyphs panel.

✅ In Affinity Designer / Publisher / Photo:
Select the Artistic Text Tool and type your text.

Go to Character panel (View > Studio > Character).

Click the 'Show Typography' button (three dots at bottom right of the character panel).

Toggle ligatures, stylistic sets, and contextual alternates.

For individual alternates, open the Glyph Browser (View > Studio > Glyph Browser).

✅ In Canva or basic apps:
Canva and many online tools don’t fully support OpenType features.

You may need to use a glyph app (like FontBook, Character Map, or Glyphr Studio) to copy-paste alternates manually.
